1) How old were you when you first got into warrior cats and what made you get into rping warrior cats?

Around the 3rd grade(7 years old ish) and roleplaying? Probably 10.

2) Who was your favorite leader/ deputy in the series?

Favorite leader? hmmm...I loved leafstar and for deputy, I'm a sucker for squirrelflight(star now?)

3) Who was your favorite medicine cat/ MCA in the series?

At this point, Frostpaw. I love everything going on around her. Before, maybe mothwing or Jayfeather.

4) Who was your favorite character in the series?

I AM THE LIONBLAZE FAN

5) Who was your favorite villain?

DARKTAIL. I LOVED DARKTAIL. Sol's a close second, but DARKTAIL.

6) What is your favorite clan?

Skyclan, i've always flip flopped between shadowclan and thunderclan and when skyclan got introduced, well you get the point.

7) If you could bring one cat back to life in the series, who would it be?

I wished Hollyleaf lived, but we can never have what we want.

8) If you could create an AU to become canon in the warrior cat universe, what would it be?

Evil Spottedleaf, gosh how i loved that.

9) Who’s your most hated warrior cat character in the series?

I. HATE. BRAMBLESTAR. The only reasons are Squirrelflight's Novella and just... 9 year old me hating him for no reason.

10) How would you imagine your Sinister Haven character fitting in if they entered the warrior cat series universe with the original clans?

I have no idea what That is 😅

11) If you had to make a warrior cat OC of yourself for the warrior cat universe, what would they be like, what clan are they in, and where would they go in life?

Dawngaze, very bubbly and happy but can't read a room and is extremely unfocused. She'd be in skyclan and would be an apprentice who sacrificed herself and got her warrior name at her funeral.(yes it took me 30 minutes to make this story.)

12) What was your favorite warrior cat box series? The Prophecies Begin, The New Prophecy, The Power of Three, Omen of The Stars, Dawn of The Clans, A Vision of Shadows, The Broken Code

I like the power of three the most, mostly because it has a special place in my heart. It's the first arc i got into and was the arc that was being updated when i started reading.

13) If you could choose any cat in the series to be your mentor, who would it be?

Disregarding clans? Icewing. Idk why, she's just cool.

14) Do you think ThunderClan, RiverClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, and SkyClan could survive in the Sinister Haven universe?

again, no idea what that is!

15) What was the weirdest thing that happened in the warrior cat series or fandom?

There's a lot, but the first thing that comes to mind was the weird burst of popularity that ShadowClan randomly got one day. And then it stayed for a good week and then left?

16) What were some of your favorite warrior cat fan arts or videos?

I loqved that pirate scourge MAP on YouTube!

17) If you could get a warrior cat plush of any character, which would it be?

Any character? Mapleshade. Her design is *Chefs Kiss*

18) For years everyone’s been asking for a warrior cat video game. If you could design one, what would it look like?

A story driven game, with encounters and drawn cutscenes. It would probably take place in the future of the clans, where a darkness settles over the world. As for weather a top down or something closer to WCUE, i'm not sure. I would like it to have a customization setting and you start as a kit!

19) What are some romantic pairings you wish had happened in the warrior cat series?

Jaybriar, even if either one rejected eachother. We don't see enough rejection in the series.

20) If you could change one thing about the warrior cat series, what would it be?

more difference in each clan's culture. Like if SkyClan had it's own ceremony for Warriors or each clan had a different warrior's assesment or if shadowclan decorated it's dens with pine leaves like riverclan, or if windclan had burrowers again, or if thunderclan had it's own feast for the coming of newleaf. something that differentiates the clans other than a slight diet change.

VERNAL POOLS FUNERAL & BURIAL TRADITIONS

being a young colony, the VPC does not yet have a highly-developed religion and pantheon. because of this, they’ve not yet formed a defined method of vigil, but a tradition for funeral processions and burial is starting to strengthen.

upon a colonymate's death, their body is laid in the middle of the current camp for mourning

the cat’s family is to groom their body, weaving trinkets and other accessories into their pelt. they can utilize flowers, other plants, or feathers to hide any evidence of what killed them, or other unsightly wounds

their mentor/pupil, family, friends, and other cats close to the deceased are invited to sleep with them for the last time

at sunrise, a procession of the colony, led primarily by the deceased’s mentor/pupil and family, starts its way to the burial mound

the deceased is then buried atop the mound

the body is also buried with a bundle containing various grave goods, traditionally including a carved totem of their patron god, a feather of their family bird, and notable personal items of the deceased, such as accessories, games, or their favorite food

if there is no body for the deceased, their family bird is wrapped in a blanket of spanish moss (tillandsia usneoides) and is used instead. it is still weaved with momentos and given a burial bundle

this process also applies if a cat has gone missing and is assumed dead as well

BURIAL MOUNDS:

as you might’ve noticed, the VPC does not use a standard graveyard to home the dead. instead, they create a burial mound

each cat who dies during the reign of the current leading pair is buried together in the same mound

the leading pair is the last to be buried on each mound, for a new one is created with each new leading pair

the mounds are located between the two camps. they are visited every time the colony migrates between camps

at the moment, the colony is currently on its fourth burial mound, as estuary mangrovemumble and herbalist gatorchomp are its fourth leading pair. they will be buried atop it once they pass

Sky, Shadow, Thunder, Wind, and Star are god-awful. River wasn't bad! The pose picked for Mistystar feels almost nostalgic, a final reminder of her glory days as a strong cat before you crack open the book and watch her controller finally disconnect.

💀 i am so bad at remembering comments... i truly do appreciate every single one i get, but i'm very bad at remembering the specifics. i don't have a dedicated favourites list, and the only comment i can remember right now is the one i shared last time :')

so instead of struggling through searching all my comments, how about i share with you a (now deleted) bookmark that is permanently ingrained in my mind? this was left on "A Beginner's Guide To Breaking Your (Apparently Requited) Crush Out Of A Time Loop", and i. still lose my shit in the best way whenever i read it.

@ the bookmarker, i hope you're doing well (genuinely. this is one of my favourite bookmark/comment ever. i'm actually weirdly happy i touched them this deeply in this way, esp since i was tipsy while writing the fic)

💥 What is one canon thing that you wish you could change?

i am weirdly enough not so anal about canon that i think about changing it frequently. maybe it's because i'm so used to the freedom of just closing your eyes to canon and doing whatever the hell you want in au city.

that being said. (puts on warrior cats hat) i genuinely wish the new prophecies group, the remaining five of them, didn't split off and completely cut ties the way they did after they all arrived at the new lake territory. i think the new prophecy arc is best because it's this ragtag group of chosen warriors, travelling together, bonding together in spite of the clan lines dividing them. and then you're going to just. have them separate again? "it's the clan way" well MAYBE the clan way should change, and they should differ on the way they run things! yes, yes, clans should handle themselves, etc, it's the warrior way, but also. maybe a little bit more friendship? relaxed borders? MAYBE??? i miss my kids :(

HIIIII sorry i never answered this i barely use tumblr anymore and i haven’t checked my inbox on this blog in like 3 years lol. im not in any wcrps at the moment but i was most recently in chasing the sun (which doesn’t exist anymore), faith of the clans, threeclans, and polarity (which also doesn’t exist anymore) in chronological order! im not sure if i’ll ever do wcrp again, i honestly feel like im a little too old for it now 🙈 but if i found a group of people closer to my age (not just 18+ but like… mid 20s+) with lax time / activity requirements i might reconsider! bonus points if it involves pre-assigned genetics and/or dnd style mechanics. if anybody has recommendations please lmk 👀

i hope you did end up joining that wcrp anon!! :~D the wcrp scene has changed so much since i was last really committed to it (circa 10 YEARS ago 💀💀💀💀) so im not sure i have relevant / helpful advice for wcrp in the 2020s, but one thing i wowuld say is.. as great as new rp groups are and as important and exciting as it is to help get them off the ground, i would also recommend looking into groups that have existed for a long time! unfortunately in my own wcrp experience almost every single group i have ever rped in fell apart due to inactivity, drama, staff stress, or some combination of those things. of course life happens and i absolutely don’t hold it against any staff (i know too well just from my experience as a participant how it can be difficult to manage participating in a rp so i can absolutely imagine how much more challenging modding and plotting would be), but it has sucked to repeatedly get super invested in a character / relationship / etc only for the storyline to suddenly end 🥲 though sometimes you might get lucky and have a bunch of people who want to continue rping “offline” or move the characters to a different group which can be really nice!
